How to Create a Tweet Without Tweeting

One my favorite time management Twitter and Facebook tools is TwitterFeed. It’s a no cost social media auto publishing tool that uses a blog, website, or Twitter stream’s RSS feed (Really Simple Syndication) to post messages directly to your Twitter and Facebook accounts. I like this tool because you can be active on social media without having to be on social media 24/7. Plus you can distribute great content from your company site without having the hassle to cross post content.
Many would disagree that using tools like this are cheapening the social media engagement process, and in a way I agree with you. However, social media can be extremely time consuming. I don’t want to spend 4 hours of my life cross posting content when I could be out there meeting people and having real conversations. Using tools like TwitterFeed is really no different than scheduling your company email newsletter to go out on a Tuesday at 8:30 AM.
So take a look at the video above on TwitterFeed. It’s easy and free to set up. Plus, it offers nice analytics if you use a tool like a bit.ly url shrinker. Be sure, to check out more valuable social media resources and tools below:
- Tweet Adder. (affiliate link) I love this tool. I can schedule messages and target groups of Twitter accounts by keywords contained within tweets and their profile bios. It allows to create and export lists as well as following a group of individuals over a period of time. It’s my go-to tool for targeted Twitter messages and influencers on the internet for my clients.
- Hash Tracker. Another great tool I stumbled across. It allows you free analytics to determine the amount of impressions for your hash tag. We use it for our Twitter chat, #jobhuntchat on Mondays at 9 PM CST.
- Hoot Suite. (affiliate link) I currently use Hoot Suite to organize my multiple social media accounts. The pro version which is paid provides some nice analytics and allows for posts to LinkedIn, Foursquare, Twitter, Facebook and their Fan Pages. What I like most is that the thumbnail picture shows up when you post to Facebook. Tweetdeck and SocialOomph don’t always offer this functionality.
