One of my favorite and most basic Twitter search tools is Twitter.Search.com.  It is an external search tool not owned by Twitter that was designed in 2008.  It provides an advanced search option to search by zip code as well as radius which has been extremely helpful for recruiters and human resource professionals who are looking to engage job seekers or social media influencers in specific targeted geographic areas.

Twitter is now boasting well over 155 million tweets per day.  It is the third most popular search engine on the internet.  Be sure to take a look at the short video to learn more.  One of the benefits to this tool is that you do not have to have a Twitter account to search externally on Twitter.  You can learn and observe before diving in.
